No. You can see a free watermarked preview of your portrait before paying anything. You can also try different themes for free with the same photo. You only pay when you’re ready to download the full, unwatermarked portrait.
The portrait is an artistic interpretation inspired by your child’s photo, rendered in a classic storybook illustration style. It captures the essence and likeness of your child but is a painting, not a photograph. Think of it as a portrait by a talented children’s book illustrator.
A clear, well-lit photo where your child’s face is visible works best. Costume photos from World Book Day are perfect, but any photo will work — the AI handles the storybook outfit and setting. JPEG, PNG, and iPhone HEIC formats are all supported, up to 15MB.
Portrait generation typically takes 15–30 seconds. Once you pay, the full high-resolution download is available immediately on the confirmation page and via email.
As a digital product, refunds are not available once downloaded. However, if you’re unhappy with the quality, we’ll regenerate your portrait for free with adjusted settings. Contact us at hello@littlelegendz.com.

After generating your portrait, you can choose to have it professionally printed on archival paper (A4 or A3) and shipped to your door, or go premium with a handcrafted wooden frame, shatterproof glazing, and a hanging kit included. All prints use fade-resistant inks and are gift-ready. Free UK delivery is included on all physical orders.
